About Us
A small family-run business mid-way between Edinburgh and Leeds, the Manor House Inn is situated on the A68 overlooking the stunning Derwent valley. We offer a warm welcome, real ales, good food, log fires in winter and comfortable accommodation to Four Diamond plus Silver Award standard (English Tourism Council).
The main emphasis has been to establish a successful country pub atmosphere with restaurant-quality food, recognised a few years ago by The Good Pub Guide with the award of "Northumbria Dining Pub of the Year 2006"
Being 30 minutes from both Newcastle and the historic city of Durham makes the Inn a good base for exploring the region, with a wide range of tourist attractions within easy driving distance. See In the Area for some ideas.
Opening Hours
The Bar & Lounge are open 11:00am - 11:00pm and serve food 12:00pm - 9:30pm; the Restaurant is open 12:00pm - 3:00pm and 7:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Saturday. Sunday hours start at 12:00pm and service continues through to 9pm.
